Question: having a baby? am i ready? are we ready? (long story)?
Info: I just turned 18, been living with my bf for 2 years, he is working, I finished high school, currently I am now just staying home.

Recently, every now and then me and my bf talk about kids. When we do, I end up saying I want a baby boy, but not ready for a kid. He says after he wins his case from court, we should have a kid. I guess I kind of agreed there. He is loyal, I am loyal, we have fights / arguements every now and then but always work it out. So yesturday, we went grocery shopping and we passed by baby food and we were woking around and he said “u want baby food?” (Like to eat…lol) and I replied nah, there are some good flavors though. =P
Then we get home, put our food away, go in our room and then some how another conversation comes up about having a kid. Later before we go to bed, we do have sex, before we started he says “are u ready for a baby…” I reply “no….” beause I thought he was joking around. Sometimes before we have sex he”ll say stuff relating to doctors like “are u ready for your medicine” and puts his penis in, and well u know the rest. So that what happened last night. He always pulls out before “finishing” and I thought he was going to today like always but he ended up finishing inside me. I was shocked and said “are u serious or joking?” And he said he was serious. I said why?? And he says I thought we wanted a baby? We been talking about kids and everything. I told him I don’t think I can take care of the kid financially right now. Now its awkward for me, we plan to use Plan B pills tomorrow/today, but should I just say forget the pill and let’s have a kid? I’m scared, but I do want a kid, but me and my bf aren’t married yet..I haven’t gone to college yet, haven’t got work? Im 19, been with my Fiance for 3 years and we have lived together for about 2. We are not married, well he proposed about a week ago, but in no rush to get married. Our baby was planned, we had wanted a baby for a long time, ever since we moved in together and didnt find us not being married an issue at all. I think if you are happy to not work for a while, you are in a stable committed relationship, you know you both want a child now, you understand the pressure it puts on a relationship and can financially provide for a child then their is nothing wrong with having a baby. Dont let age get you down, Im 19, Im happy im going to be a young mum, i think it will help me relate to my daughter in the future. If you both decide you want to start a family, then their is nothing wrong with doing so. I hope you find the right thing for you now, I wish you all the best in the world!!
