Question: Organic baby food vs. variety?
I have been feeding my daughter organic baby food. I wanted to go organic for the first year just to atleast get her on a good start. She is now starting “2nd foods” and when I went to the super market today I noticed that the variety of organic 2nd foods (of all organic brands, not just gerber) was much less than the non organic foods. Basically there were like 10 organic second foods to choose from and about 50 non organic second foods. I went on gerber and earth’s best’s websites and they just don’t make as much variety in the 2nd foods in organic as they do in non organic foods. So although I wanted to do organic I am also very concerned about my daughter experiencing a variety of foods so that she will not be a picky eater (like my husband who eats chicken for every meal!). So thanks for reading through this long question, basically I’m asking do you think it’s more important to go the organic route or is it more important to introduce her to a variety of foods early?
Please no suggestions about making my own baby food please. I have no intentions of making my own! Thanks!

Question: Organic baby formula? Nature’s One?
I was just wondering if any of you used organic baby formula to feed your newborns? I am doing research right now into which formula I want to use and I had a couple of questions. First, I really like Nature’s One Baby’s Only Organic Formula, but all of their formula is labeled “Toddler Formula.” The website says it is just because they want to encourage breast milk as the first option for babies under 12 mos. I was just wondering if any of you moms used this formula for your baby under 12 mos? Also I just wanted to hear any good/bad stories about particular baby formulas to help me in my decision. Thanks!!
I didn’t give you a thumbs down. And I don’t want to breastfeed because my husband and I are on very different schedules and are both very busy. I don’t want to spend tons of time having to pump so that my husband can have the expirience of bonding with our baby like I can. I think that it is important for us to have completely equal shares in the work, bonding and care of our child. I know most people don’t agree with this but whatever.
Lol. Thanks for the response.

it would be a stupid idea to use toddler formula for a baby under 12months. toddler formula has so much less nutrients.
i just have on question. why are you choosing to not breastfeed? i am always curious to why ppl choose not to from the start.
but I give my son goodstart soy plus at night. he is allergic to milk and other things so soy is the best for him.
you need to keep in mind that many babies are sensitive or allergic to milk. being sensitive and allergic are very different.
kellymom.com has more on that.
this site has more info on formulas the types.

EDIT: i dont know why I got a TB. I sent links to help. I wasnt trying to offend or put you down when asking why you are not breastfeeding. i am just curious.
I understand. Least you are not choosing to not breastfeed because you think its unnatural. thats why my mom didnt.
