Question: Infant kitten not eating!?
Hi. I took on a 1 day old kitten that was trailered in by a boat…the mama must have jumped out. He is now aprox 4 weeks old and was growing FAST! I purchased a new pre-mixed kitten formula and mixed in a tiny bit of chicken flavored infant baby food…”Salty” seemed to like it and ate a ton!!! He started pooping regular soft stool longer than him every few hrs. (prior to he was getting backed up and only going every 4-5 days- very swollen belly) After a day of feeding I stopped the infant chicken food b/c his little bum was red and sore from all those poops. Now his poops seem to be runny and he has minimized his intake dramatically. He is still playful and doesn’t apear to be sick but he seems to have stopped gaining weight and is not taking in much food at all. I went back to the powerdered formula tonight to see if that would help- nope. Does he need the chicken mixed back in? Or was that the cause? It is 4 day since he has had any chicken food mixed. HELP! too soon or need more?
Hey all, thanks for the answers. Today the little furball woke me up for FOOD! YAY!! He ate almost 45cc’s just this am. So he seems to be getting his eat on! He has been gassy so maybe he just wanted to take a break…but he seems to be making up for it now! I had a vet give me the idea of baby chichen food as it is finer than kitten food. and worms is a definante…but kittens can’t get dewormed or vaccinated that early in life. But that could be why he did not want to eat! Thanks! Yes, I did rub his belly each feeding and help him go to the bathroom. Your right the Vet said it is very hard even for a vet, to take this on. So true! But worth it. 
This moring he was “running” and playful and ate a ton! I changed the nipple on his bottle and added a tiny of wet kitten food that I let sit over night in formula to make it super fine…he ate it right up. (tried it last night but he did not want it.) So could be worms, upset belly, gas. Chowing now! Thanks! Will post pics soon! Thanks!

Hiya,
Well done for getting your kitten this far.
It sounds like you need to get him to a vet asap, it’s too hard to diagnose this kind of thing online, but if I were you, I’d be VERY worried.
Please post back how you get on.

Question: Is it bad to feed my baby second foods when she should be eating first foods?
My daughter is 4months old now, and we started feeding her baby gerber, My mother bought her 2 big cases of babygerber food from Sam’s Club and well we didnt notice that the baby gerber was “2nd Foods” and she should have been eating eating “1st Foods.” Is that bad? can I continue to give her whats left of her 2nd Foods or discontinue till she is SUPPOSE to have them?

If she is old enough to eat solids, she can have whats on your plate so yeah if she eats them well enough go for it.
Question: what kind of seeds dose a baby parrot first start eating??
i have a quaker parrot, and it ate some of my cousins parakeet seeds so i think its old enough (almost 2 months)to start eating seeds but i want to know if there is a certain kind of seeds it should start eating, i have been feeding it “Exact hand feeding formula” since i got her.

You should wean it on pellets, not seeds.

Question: what foods that arnt “baby foods” was your 9month old eating?
My son is 9 months old and i feed him baby foods throughout the day, DHA breakfast, veggies, and the meat mixed ones,and bottles too here and there. I give him some table foods when im eating but i want to know like what i can put on his tray so he can eat by himself? i heard someone say something about noodles… but what kind and how small i just need some ideas please…. i’m a young 1st time mom and im clueless!

the noodles in campbells chicken noodle soup are perfect. graduates also have those little cereal things that melt in their mouth. my son loved them
